General requirements

There are specific requirements for recipients of SEAL grants. Please make sure you can meet the legal and administrative prerequisites below before you apply.

Eligibility

SEAL accepts applications from individuals working on behalf of communities, cooperatives, municipalities, and non-profit organizations that work towards providing economic opportunities for Lebanese communities within Lebanon.

SEAL selects only those projects that have a demonstrable community impact. This means the project demonstrates clear sustainable benefit for the low-income or underserved community at large beyond a single individual.

To be considered for funding, an organization must meet certain requirements. Please provide the following due diligence documents (please specify if not available or not applicable):
  • Pre-Funding

    Pre-Funding

    • Lebanese registration and Governing documents
    • Financial accounts (preferably Audited) for the past 2 years
    • List of board and advisory board members
    • Biography of the executive team
    • Organizational Chart
    • Annual report and budget
    • Project details: Description, feasibility study (if available), sources of funds (including grant request from other organizations), implementation strategy and timeline, list of suppliers and contractors
  • Post-Funding

    Post-Funding

    • Financial Report
    • Receipts of all expenses incurred while implementing the project when requested
    • Access to the project location for inspection and monitoring
    • Annual reporting that provides a detailed description of the activities paid for by the grant

How to apply

To apply for a grant from SEAL, please download the English or Arabic language application form below and submit with requested documentation by the deadline noted below to Nassif Wakim, SEAL Project Manager at nassif@seal-usa.org.

SEAL’s call for project applications remains open throughout the year. We have two deadlines for applications each year, and we notify applicants of our decision within 6 months of the deadline date.
