Description and Impact

Chouf Cedar Association (CCA) requested the funds to purchase three shredder machines, which were later used to chop pruning residue. This lowered the risk of forest fires and protected the environment. This, in turn, strengthened the usage of the organic residue materials for mixing with olive pits that were used as eco-friendly heating briquettes and made organic composts for agricultural use. CCA collaborated with local communities and the municipalities of 22 villages. These machines were manufactured in Lebanon using the latest technology under the supervision of Lebanese expert engineers. These machines compete with European and international brands in performance capabilities.
