Irrigation infrastructure for agricultural growth is key to expanding economic opportunities and creating jobs.
As part of its water and irrigation program, SEAL supported Al Fakih Cooperation with an additional grant of $15,600 for the construction of a water tank with a capacity of 75 m3 of water that allows the irrigation of 100 dunums of the planted area, increasing their irrigation capacity by 50%.
Water from a previously constructed artificial well will be stored in this newly built concrete tank and will ensure continuous and uninterrupted irrigation as needed.
In 2019, the cooperative received a $12,980 grant from SEAL for an 80 KVA electrical generator that provided irrigation for 50 dunums of land.
