Description and Impact

The “July War” created water distribution and sanitation difficulties for many villages in Southern Lebanon.

In association with Aid Lebanon, SEAL funded a mobile water treatment unit that was sent to the villages of Nabatiyeh, Tyre, Marjeyoun and Bint Jbeil.

Aid Lebanon was a coalition of six organizations that pulled their resources together and launched the 'civil campaign for relief' in July 2006 after realizing the scale of the humanitarian crisis. Their work was to coordinate with other local and international NGOs and fundraise to supply food and medical relief.
