Description and Impact

This project oversaw the installation of 4500m of 4-inch water networks which irrigated a total of 100,000m² of farmland, introducing modern irrigation techniques that helped these farmers better utilize their land while achieving greater sustainability.

Unlike several other SEAL irrigation projects, these pipes needed to be subterranean to be protected from the snow (hence the higher cost compared with our other irrigation projects). The project’s total cost was $116,600 and was shared between the Association (covering excavation and backfilling) and SEAL, who provided the balance for pipes and accessories.
