This cooperative had a 50-hectare olive farm with a storeroom that produced excellent organic virgin olive oil. However, in order to comply with international standards, the coop needed to adapt more modern automatic filling techniques. This SEAL grant provided the needed machines that automate filling, capping, and labeling.
This project created six new jobs and doubled the coop’s profits due to the increased market value of the olive oil, which was now sold in more marketable smaller bottles.
