SEAL funded a three-month intensive training program which, structured to include a large number of women, focused on language, accounting, and decoration skills to help women gain financial independence. ALDEC created the Al-Tilal center in Jbeil, an institution dedicated to rural development in an effort to reverse rural migration. Al-Tilal provided low-income women from impoverished areas with training in income-generating activities such as catering, management of touristic accommodations, and local artistry and craftsmanship.
