A.D.E.L (Association for Development & Empowerment in Lebanon), is encouraging Kfarrouman farmers to invest in their lands in order to increase their production. They are providing, with the support of SEAL, 50 farmers with a shared tractor to cultivate the 500,000 m2 of land and even increase that airable land by 20%. The tractor is expected to be used for plowing, spraying, harvesting and transportation. It will reduce the farmers’ rental costs by 40% (currently $25/hour). A.D.E.L has also secured the distribution channel of the farmers’ production through a group of 25 women who were trained on mouneh making and are ready to purchase 100% of the produce.
