Description and Impact
SEAL provided ALDEC a grant to cover surveying and training expenses for their rural tourism project. After conducting a thorough rural tourism survey and evaluation, ALDEC identified 20 villages in the Jbeil area for a tourism route. Fifteen women-owned small businesses were selected along that route from which more than 300 women were trained to provide professional tourism services. Coursework included hospitality skills, computer literacy, marketing, and general management.
