Project Aim
SHMS, established in 2019, aims to achieve zero pollution and zero waste across the food production chain—from agriculture to food manufacturing and packaging.
To tackle produce waste, SHMS has developed a model that converts unsold crops into high-quality food products like tomato paste, sundried tomatoes, and bell pepper extract. Initially collaborating with five farmers, the cooperative has expanded its model, involving more farmers who sell their excess produce at reduced prices, thereby reducing waste and generating income. However, a significant challenge remains: the use of a traditional boiler that requires Mezout fuel, which increases costs and causes environmental pollution.
To address this issue, the cooperative is seeking SEAL’s support to acquire a solar-powered boiler, a labeling and packaging machine, the installation of a hood on the roof of the production area, and two pumps to facilitate and ensure safety during the transfer process.
