Description and Impact
Ahla Fawda was looking for ways to sustainably help the needy and encourage recycling at the same time. They were asking every family they helped to give them in return their recyclables (including plastic, wood, and glass). They wanted to shred, compress and mold these recyclables into a commodity that will be resold and/or up-cycled and therefore monetized. The proceeds from those sales will then be used to help the families in need.

SEAL provided for this project the plastic compressor and fire cutting machine (locally manufactured) and Ahla Fawda purchased the needed glass shaper machine to complete the recycling process.

This project will help generate income for those in need. Additionally, it is projected that 20,000 Tons of re-sellable plastic and glass will be produced as a result of this initiative and the remaining wood will be used for heating.

This project consisted of 3 requested machines and Ahla Fawda contributed to purchasing the glass shaper machine and SEAL provided Ahla Fawda with a plastic compressor and fire cutting machine (which is locally manufactured) in order to create this circular process and ensure constant income to help those in need. It is projected that 20,000 Tons of re-sellable plastic and glass will be generated as a result of this initiative in addition to the wood that will be used for heating.
