In Khrab el Hayat, a small town in Akkar, Lebanon. 200 farmers, working a combined 1,200 acres, asked the local mayor to represent them when they requested a communal harvester. A harvester simultaneously helped take advantage of rising prices while mitigating fast rising labor costs. Once the harvester began operations, the farmers paid a minimal maintenance cost for its use.
