Description and Impact

SEAL funded a grain production line, powered by solar energy in order to help create a sustainable approach to local food production in Baalbeck. In partnership with the Lebanese Association for Co-Existence and Development (LACODE) we introduced a state-of-the-art sieve machine capable of sifting various grains cultivated in the Bekaa Valley, such as chickpeas, lentils, and beans. Simultaneously, solar panels have been installed to ensure a reliable and environmentally friendly power supply. These significant enhancements serve to improve crop quality and empower local farmers, contributing to the growth of the community.
