Description and Impact
The General Agricultural Cooperative in Kfardounin produces Freekeh and grains. Freekeh is a cereal food made from unripened wheat that is roasted and crushed into small pieces, an ingredient used especially in Middle Eastern cooking. Cooperative members received training on the production methods by The Lebanon Industry Value Chain Development (LIVCD) project supported by USAID. They requested a grant from SEAL to purchase an agricultural tractor, Plowing railway and Grass machine to collect, transport agricultural yields and fertilizers to the fields.
