Project Summary:
Darmmess is a Lebanese social enterprise founded in 2019 that produces premium, high-phenolic, early-harvest extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) from heritage olive groves. Despite early export success, the ongoing precarious situation in South Lebanon severely impacted its operations. Olive oil production dropped sharply in 2023 and ceased entirely in 2024, with Darmmess’s production equipment destroyed by the bombings in the South.

Objectives:
Darmmess is seeking SEAL’s support to restore and scale production in Deir Mimas by assisting 12 partner farmers to rehabilitate affected olive groves, replace destroyed equipment, and ensure a stable, high-quality olive oil supply.

Implementation Plan:
Support for each farmer includes:
· 1 (1000 liter) stainless steel storage tank
· 75 food-grade crates
· 1 roll of food-grade net
· 2 mechanical harvesters

NB: This project will be implemented by the next harvesting season in October 2026 enough time to make sure that the situation in South Lebanon is clearer.
