Family and small business olive growers used the cooperative center to press and process their oil. Using this center reduced the cost of production and ensured the production of high-quality olive oil compared with the large commercial centers.
SEAL provided the center with an olive oil-water separator that increased olive oil processing capacity by 50% and brought in additional growers. 10% of the olive oil production was kept by the cooperative for its own personal sale.
