The Developmental Committee working in the Koura Region requested mechanical harvesters to protect olive trees from damage caused by bad harvesting practices and to ensure good oil production. SEAL provided 40 battery-operated harvesters. These harvesters are zero-emission machines that emit no exhaust gas and are environmentally friendly. These machines are usable in various terrains and specially designed to avoid damages to the olive trees. The harvesters were distributed to five municipalities; each received eight harvesters, along with the required trolleys and batteries.
