Darbechtar Coop for Development and Olive Oil Production received from SEAL a previous grant of S14,750 for wheat and chickpeas seeds to plant in 500 dunum of flat land in the Koura Region. After a successful planting of the 8.75T of drought tolerant wheat and 3T of chickpeas distributed by SEAL in December 2022, 125 farmers from around Darbechtar needed to harvest their crops. SEAL funded the purchase of one BCS 3 wheels harvester, 1 thresher and 10 hand-held brush cutters to harvest, reap and thresh the crops. Equipment are being shared among the farmers and managed and maintained by the Darbechtar cooperative under the supervision of the Consultancy Company P.A.A.K.
