Maghdouche is famed for its orange trees that have been grown in the area for over 100 years. It is these blossoms that give the exceptional taste to their renowned orange blossom water. The Maghdouche cooperative, established in 1995, produces a total of 80 tons of orange blossom per year, 50 tons of which are sold to producers throughout Lebanon. The remaining 30 tons are used to create the orange blossom water using a 250m² distillation factory which was established with the support of several grants, including one from SEAL.
The cooperative requested an additional grant that helped build the needed 250m² concrete hangar with a metal roof for storage, packaging, and sales activities.
