The women in the village of Kfarmishki used to produce mouneh in a decentralized manner from their own homes. These women got together for the benefit of the community and formed the Kfarmishki Cooperative. The cooperative needed equipment to scale their specialty food production so they applied for a grant from SEAL.
SEAL provided them the equipment to produce Labneh in olive oil, jams, pickles, makdous and other products that are produced from the many fruits and vegetables cultivated in this fertile corner of the Bekaa region.
Annual profit is expected to increase ten-fold as a result of the project implementation.
