Description and Impact
The increased demand for locally made alcohol given the unaffordable prices of imported liquor has prompted the creation of this project. The factory will be producing different liquors from brewed carob, a very common tree planted in the area. The feasibility study for this factory has yielded very promising outcomes. SEAL funded the purchase of needed equipment such as Karaki, a Stainless steel tank, water sterilizer, UV recycle and carbon filter, raw materials for bottles, a semi-manual bottling machine, and a pump to instigate production. This establishment is able to substitute imports previously made and sets the pace for potential future export opportunities.
