Project Aim
Project Summary:
This project seeks to revitalize Lebanon’s agricultural sector by inspiring and equipping the next generation of farmers and agri-entrepreneurs. It will engage high school students (ages 14–18) from six schools across five governorates: Beqaa, North, Mount Lebanon, Akkar, and Beirut, through hands-on training, project design, and implementation of student-led agribusiness initiatives.
Objectives:
The project aims to link education with sustainable livelihood opportunities and foster innovation in Lebanon’s agricultural future by targeting communities most affected by economic hardship and youth unemployment.
Implementation Plan:
NAFDA is seeking SEAL’s support to provide each school $6,000 for the tools and resources needed to implement its project, including agricultural inputs, smart irrigation systems, renewable energy solutions, innovative farming technologies, and eco-friendly packaging equipment.
Past SEAL Grantee: during the war on Lebanon in 2024, SEAL provided NAFDA a $25,000 donation to support their Psychosocial support interventions across five public schools, reaching 811 students, including both forcibly displaced youth and children from host communities.
