Description and Impact
Following the success of the apple tree rootstocks projects in North Lebanon, SEAL sponsored and distributed 12,500 tree roots to farmers in the Jezzine area in partnership with the Mayors of Jezzine, Bkessine, Taiid, Zhaltay, Azour, and Ain Mejdlin. SEAL provided mostly apple and olive, peach, cherry, prune, cashew, and apricot samplings. The sale of these fruits was the single source of income for many farmers.
