Description and Impact
Newly appointed Minister of Agriculture, Nizar Hani, launched a nationwide initiative to strengthen Lebanon’s agricultural sector through awareness and training workshops for 8,760 farmers. The initiative aims to enhance farmers’ capacity to produce high-quality agricultural products that meet international standards, while reducing production costs.
In collaboration with SEAL, the Ministry of Agriculture organized workshops across agricultural centers throughout Lebanon, specifically targeting 3,330 registered small-scale farmers with landholdings of up to 7,000 square meters planted with fruit trees. As part of the initiative, SEAL donated essential agricultural equipment, including pruning machines and electric saws, enabling farmers to adopt modern techniques, improve efficiency, and lower operating costs.
