SEAL – in partnership with the Tyre Fishermen Union and the Development for People and Nature Association (DPNA) – purchased a total of 4,000 nets for 400 fishermen in the Tyre municipality. These modern nets not only improved fishing economics but also significantly improved sustainability of fishing stocks in comparison to the use of older nets and fishing methods.
