SEAL funded the distribution of 1,444 fishing nets to 722 fishermen of Al-Mina, Tripoli.
Two large fishnets with different twine strengths replaced the old and smaller equipment and conformed to the regulations put in place by the Ministry of Agriculture to advance the sustainability of fish stocks. Larger nets allowed for more fish to be caught at once, while the wider mesh enabled immature fish to pass through.
