Description and Impact
In collaboration with the National Development Committee (NDC), Lal Inma’a Awalan launched a transformative initiative in 2022/2023 with a pilot project that provided free seeds to farmers across several villages. This effort successfully fostered economic growth and improved food security in the region.
Building on this success, the organization is expanding its wheat cultivation initiative. Key milestones have already been achieved, including securing free seeds for widespread distribution. To enhance productivity and ensure long-term sustainability, SEAL provided the organization with essential agricultural machinery—a thresher machine, reaper binder, and tractor—to streamline harvesting and post-harvest operations.
Lal Inma’a Awalan has a proven track record of partnership with SEAL. In 2023, the organization received 2 tons of potato seeds, and in 2024, SEAL financed a $35,000 beekeeping project, both of which contributed significantly to agricultural development in the region.
