Description and Impact
The village of Haouqa faces persistent water scarcity. This project aims to address the issue by rehabilitating an existing but deteriorated well located on public land. Funded by SEAL, the restoration of the well seeks to revitalize abandoned agricultural land, enhance farm productivity, and improve water-use efficiency for local farmers.
The rehabilitation work included the purchase and installation of a 50-horsepower water pump, 370 meters of N70 cables, 350 meters of 2.5-inch rotary pipes, and an electricity meter box. As a result, the project now provides a reliable water supply of 24 cubic meters per hour to the farmers.
