Al Morsalin Association has generously provided a 19,000m2 land parcel, strategically located along the Litani River, to Zawter el Gharbieh farmers for cultivation, The association has secured all necessary legal rights for efficient irrigation, utilizing water pumped directly from the river. The allocated SEAL grant has been utilized to prepare the land, erect fencing, and establish a robust water infrastructure, complete with a pump and tank.

The concluding stage of this initiative comprised the planting of 1,220 avocado and pomegranate trees. The planting of avocado trees is fundamental to SEAL's "Fund a Tree" fundraising campaign.

Foreseen yields from the initial plantation include 4 metric tons of avocados and 2.5 metric tons of pomegranates in the second-year post-plantation. Subsequently, a remarkable surge in production is projected—13 times for avocados and 8 times for pomegranates by the seventh year.
In the future, there is potential to expand the cultivated area to 100,000m2, benefiting an even larger number of Zawter el Gharbieh farmers. This initiative marks the second grant awarded by Seal to Al Morsalin, following the successful construction of a water tank in Ghosta, Mount Lebanon, which has proven instrumental in supporting 30 farmers in that region.
