Description and Impact
On August 15, 2021 a fuel tank exploded in northern Lebanon in the Akkar Region killing 31and injuring over 79 people. Out of the injured, 15 severely burned victims were admitted to the Burn Center at Lebanese Geitaoui Hospital which has been recently rehabilitated through a grant provided by SEAL. With the co-support of its advisory board member George Boutros, SEAL provided the Geitaoui Hospital a grant to cover the expenses of all the 15 burn patients’ treatment.
