Description and Impact
The Beirut Center for Development & Human Rights (BCDHR), headquartered in Beirut, operates two service centers: an Agricultural Services Center in Moghayreyyeh (Shouf) and an Ecological Center in Qsarnaba (Baalbeck). Through its “Otr El Ard” initiative, BCDHR seeks to revitalize agricultural practices in Eqlim El Kharoub—an area predominantly known for olive cultivation—by providing small-scale farmers with access to essential agricultural machinery and tools through the Moghayreyyeh Agricultural Services Center.
The project aims to encourage landowners to cultivate their lands, improve crop yields, strengthen the local economy, and enhance food security in the region.
With SEAL’s support, BCDHR has acquired critical agricultural equipment for the “Otr El Ard” initiative, including a wood chipper, a pomace press, and other essential farming tools.
