Rehabilitation of the Lebanese Geitaoui Hospital building and burn center
SEAL and the Beirut Emergency Fund (BEF) supports Lebanese Hospital Geitaoui-UMC with a $1,059,905 Grant The August 4th Beirut explosion gravely damaged several hospitals including the Lebanese Geitaoui Hospital.
SEAL, in partnership with the Beirut Emergency Fund (BEF), contributed to the rehabilitation of the Geitaoui hospital building and upgraded damaged medical equipment.
Additionally, thanks to an anonymous donor SEAL funded the rehabilitation of the Burn Center at the hospital.
Established in 1992, the Burn Center was the first and still is the only burn and treatment Center in Lebanon.
On August 15, 2021 a gas explosion in Akkar caused heavy losses of life and left many severely burned victims SEAL immediately responded by funding the treatment of 15 severely burned victims of the explosion, thanks to an additional donation from George Boutros, SEAL advisory board member.
