Another result of the war are orphans. SEAL funded the purchase of a well water filter for the SOS Children's Village in Ksarnaba-Bekaa which is home to 80 orphans.

The long term care in the SOS Villages centers is based on four principles to meet the needs of every child:
- A mother providing love and care
- Siblings with whom to share a family life
- A house which is their permanent home
- A supportive environment where children live according to their culture and religion as good citizens and active members of their community
